Patient Preparation
Collect each sample at the correct time point.
Avoid eating, drinking, brushing teeth, or mouthwash shortly before if instructed.
Avoid contaminating the sample with blood from gums.
Record sample times accurately.
Inform your provider about medications, supplements, shift work, pregnancy, or unusual sleep schedules.
Do not stop medication unless instructed by your healthcare provider.
